This Dior21st Bag looks very much like the C’est Dior Bag. However, the Dior21st Flap Bag is a new addiction to the Fall Winter 2018 Collection.

The C’est Dior Bag was introduced in the Fall 2017 Collection. Of course, you read more about the C’est Dior Bag here…

So the Dior2st Bag is a complete new line. It reminds us of the C’est Dior because they both feature the same closure. I like the new one more, and you?

The Design

The latest 3D CD lock is absolutely fabulous. It’s not only beautiful, but also functional. It’s where all the attention are flowing to. The ‘C’ of the lock is crafted flat on the front, then the ‘D’ of the lock is designed on the outside, connecting to the C.

Comparing the C’est Dior Bag, the 21st Bag Flap Bag looks much more classic. We especially adore the bigger-sized CD lock and also the curvy flap.

The bag is made from smooth lambskin, which is less durable than calfskin, but still durable. It also comes with long and detachable chain strap for shoulder or cross body carry. We also love the golden hardware.

The Dior2st Flap Bag might be the next iconic. Everything about the style is perfect. It looks timeless, feminine and minimalistic. Flaunt it!

One of the most interesting things about Maria Grazia Chiuri leaving her partnership with Pierpaolo Piccioli at Valentino for Dior has been getting to see which parts of the Valentino aesthetic they each likely influenced when they were working together. Evidence (Valentino’s Pre-Fall 2017 show, for instance) suggests that it was Piccioli with many of the brand’s more traditionally feminine leanings, while Chiuri’s work for Dior so far indicates she might have brought a balancing toughness (and the appreciation of sheer skirts) to the table. When it comes to bags, though, Chiuri’s work has diverged more from both her previous oeuvre at Valentino and Dior’s traditional look than I had expected.

Dior’s Spring 2017 collection, Chiuri’s first at Dior, won’t hit stores until the end of February, but the brand has included some teasers on its website, including a look at the Dior J’Adior Wallet on Chain. The bag features a brand new, very bold logo hardware style that made its debut for Spring 2017, and it’s been a hot topic of conversation every time we’ve featured glimpses of the upcoming bags.

The bag itself is well-designed for a piece at the base of the brand’s price structure. The interior is small but well-organized, with wallet-style slots for cards, in addition to both a zip pocket and slide pocket at the front. What gives me pause, though, is the exterior font used for these logos. It feels slightly brutalist, as though the typeface was chosen because it’s jarring in its aggressive plainness. That kind of look is far from the forward-leaning femininity of Raf Simons’s Dior, and the quick transition might take some time for shoppers to adjust to.

Dior is no longer sticking to the classics, it has established itself as one of the most innovative designer brands in the world. Every few months or so, we will be mesmerized by the beautiful handbags that they create. Some of them look fabulous, elegant and timeless, and that’s also what we’re hunting for right?

Like the latest DiorDirection Flap Bag for the Spring Summer 2018 Collection. It’s designed with complete new face, new logo and we’re dazzled. The shape and chain reminds of the C’est Dior Shoulder Bag, but perhaps some components have been used in crafted this new style.

The Design

The first thing anyone will notice when looking at the DiorDirection Bag is the front clasp. What we see is the CD logo on the back but reinforced with two golden metal sticks on the front. The clasp gives us a vintage appeal – more like an historical piece from the medieval times.

The bag comes with large jewellery chain for shoulder or cross body carry. The chain can be detached to transform the bag into an evening clutch. The aged gold hardware supports the classic look.

Every detail have been refined, like the sliding chain and the construction of this new signature clasp. The DiorDirection is made with butter smooth lambskin. Lambskin is more fragile than calfskin, but it doesn’t mean that it’s not durable.
