For Fall/Winter 2018, Maria Grazia Chiuri returns this bag in new designs. The bag is made available in a variety of materials including calfskin, Oblique canvas and embroideries. It features an aged gold-tone metal and comes with a single strap. The bag is available in two sizes, Medium and Mini. Both sizes allows you to carry it by hand or by the crook of the arm, while the Medium can also be carried on the shoulder. You may also purchase a separate strap, allowing you to carry it across the body.

Now that the Saddle bag is  available in my site, celebrities and fashion influencers have already been spotted carrying the latest design.

Dior is bringing fashion closer to art by combining Surrealism with High Fashion. So what is Surrealism? It’s cultural movement that started in the 1920’s where artist painted uncomfortable and illogical scenes with accurate photographic (also known as photorealism). Surrealism is best known for its visual artworks and writings – think of abnormal creatures drawn from ordinary objects and paintings that let the unconscious mind to create its own story.

The Book Bag was created early this year (in the Spring Summer 2018 Collection). The Dior Surrealism Book Bag is designed for the Fall Winter 2018 Collection. It’s the same bag with a different exterior style.

The Design

The Book Tote is the new upcoming classic tote of the house. The bag is large, durable and contemporary as new styles are being released every season.

The Surrealism version is a limited edition and it’s made from smooth calfskin. The body is printed with motif inspired by Surrealism. The words like ‘Si Vous Aimez’ – if you like or if you love. ‘Vous Amerez’ – you will love and ‘L’amour’ – love, are imprinted on the body. And if you search for details – the name of the brand is marked in the center in leather. It reads: ‘Christian Dior’. And perhaps this is Dior’s version of Surrealism. It’s to hide the logo in the background while enhancing the French words.

This tote bag can be carried in the hand or on the shoulder. It does not feature a shoulder strap as it might be too big to carry cross body.

Dior Book Tote Bag in Canvas

So will the Dior Oblique become the next iconic print? We are wondering, but until then, please take a look at another new Tote – the Dior Book Tote Bag from the Spring Summer 2018 Collection. My thoughts are yes and no. On one part, the logo’s might be excessive, but it could also be the next big thing. So do you like to have your tote bag with a lot of logo’s?

The Design

The Dior Oblique Canvas is introduced not long ago and but it has been embellished into newer bag styles more often nowadays. Since the introduction of the DiorAvenue Bag, this print is seen everywhere on Dior’s website. The Book Tote is new spacious bag and we belief there will be more styles available in the future. For now it’s crafted with soft canvas.

The Oblique is embellished all over the body and even on the handles. The center is stitched with the house’s logo in traditional way: Christian Dior Paris. Certainly this handbag will catch a lot of eyes, but do also note that Canvas is not easy to maintain. So you need to be more careful when carrying. The tote can be carried by hand or on the shoulder.

The Interior

The inside comes with one large space and it’s huge, so there is plenty of room even for your laptop.

However, the flap is very easy to open and get in and out of on the move. Inside, the Lady Dior bag has one interior zip pocket, as well as a slit pocket. Overall dimensions of The Dior Medium Lady Dior Bag are 24 x 20 x 11 cm, and Dior Mini Lady Dior Bag are 17 x 15 x 7 cm. these matte black on black version retails for $408USD and $338USD. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 5,000 times: I just cannot get enough black. Maybe it’s the New Yorker in me, or maybe it’s just that black always looks so, well, chic. When in doubt, you can’t go wrong with an all-black outfit, and it’s my foolproof go-to time after time. Naturally, when I got a glimpse of Dior’s Pre-Fall 2018 bags, I couldn’t believe what I saw: beautiful black bags with hardware that wasn’t gold, and not silver either—it was matte black. I was immediately obsessed, and I couldn’t wait to see these bags in person.

Next up on my love list from the Dior Pre-Fall 2018 collection is The J’ADIOR Flap Bag. Once again, this bag proves to be as edgy and super-chic in person as it looks on a screen. The matte black J’ADIOR logo is in-your-face without really being overtly flashy, and I absolutely adore that. If you’re a logo girl, this is probably the coolest way to do one. The bag is your pretty standard flap bag, and it’s fairly comparable in size to most flap bags we’ve written about lately, but it also does expand to fit more than you might think. (See below for what fits!)

There is so much love coming out of the Dior Or Earrings from the Fall Winter 2018 Collection. We see hearts, stars and three-leaf clover covered in multicolor black, gold and silver. These are ultra chic and attention-grabbing accessories.

These Dior Or Asymmetric Earrings are made in gold hardware and finished with palladium metal. It’s also built with black lacquer.

Earlier this month, we gave you guys a newsworthy reminder: the Dior Saddle Bag was making its way back into the fashion world, and we wanted to know your thoughts. Well, today we’re back with another announcement: The Dior Saddle Bag is officially back in stores. As of today, July 19, you can get your hands on one and try it on, live and in person. While some of you said you would rather leave the past in the past, Amanda and I are kinda digging the return of this early 2000s cult favorite. The oldest bag in my closet is my mini Dior Saddle Bag, which, if you follow us on Instagram, you may have seen out and about on Instastories, so it should come as no surprise that I’ve fallen for the Dior Saddle Bag all over again! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one, and I was thrilled when our friends over at Dior sent us a few to take a look at.

While it’s clear that logo love is back, I was drawn to the leather versions this time around, versus the logo fabric saddle bags. The medium saddle bag in leather gets an A+ from me in almost every category. It’s super chic, but also functional! Despite the fact that the interior is still a bit of an odd shape, I was able to fit everything that I would need—my regular-size iPhone, a card case, miscellaneous cosmetics, my sunglasses in a thin pouch, and even a little ziplock bag full of almonds. (I never go far without a snack!) The interior of the medium, as well as the interior of the mini (shown below) has a zippered pocket and is lined in lush suede. Both sizes feature a magnetic closure, unlike its predecessors, which had a velcro closure—my, how times have changed! The craftsmanship and quality of this bag are what you would expect from Dior, and the leather has a really nice hand, though it is a bit on the delicate side.
